Re: New Occulation site
Google maps now have the capability to pan to the search location or the center of the path.

Sander:

Looks like there is a signage problem (for longitude) when you use the map "goto" function using input search criteria.  Are you using absolute value for your input variables?  For instance, my location is 39N, 85W which should be 39, -85.  It shows up in as 39, 85 next to the "goto" button and takes me to China instead of the Midwestern U.S.  I hope that made sense (??)

So far I've planned my month of observations using your event filter and the Occult profile that Derek has on hs page.  Thanks a bunch!

Re: New Occulation site
Aha!  I just noticed that the anomaly occurs only when I use the "west" radio button when doing m initial search.  If I input "-85" and use the "signed" radio button, then all is well when I do a map pan.  Hope that helps!

Re: New Occulation site
Rob,

sorry for not responding earlier. I need to figure out how to get notified that there's a reply to this forum :)

I will look into the problem you reported. I suspect that the signage part of the search location is not stored in the cookie and that's messing up the goto. I'll probably keep the stored location accuratetely signed and adjust the displayed sign based on the selected signage.

Thanks,
